The International Foundation Forum of Slavic Cultures marked the 15th anniversary of its operation with an open-air concert titled Slavic Rhapsody. On this occasion the Forum conferred the title of honorary ambassador and FSC ambassador charters.

The title of Honorary Ambassador was conferred on the former Croatian Minister of Culture Božo Biškupić. “We are all familiar with Francophone cultures, institutions such as the Goethe Institute and similar; networks like these share a common language. The Slavs on the other hand share something more ‒ Slavic cultures,” he stressed when receiving the title. The FSC will confer the title Honorary Ambassador also to the former Montenegrin minister Branislav Mićunović for his valuable contribution to the establishment and operation of the Foundation, while the charter of FSC Ambassador was conferred on Gordan Nikolov from North Macedonia, Dubravka Đurić Nemec from Croatia and Vladimir Kopicl from Serbia for their valuable contribution to the visibility of the Foundation and establishing new ties.

“I believe that cultural liaisons and cooperation are the key to nerving Slavic creativity, strengthening our identity and reviving the cultural dialogue in both the European and the wider global arena. We invest our efforts in sharing valuable knowledge, experience and ideas, and most of all in creating the opportunities to once again be able to learn from each other and boost our creative potential,” said Dr. Andreja Rihter, Director of the International Foundation Forum of Slavic Cultures, adding that the speakers' words resounded in the Slavic Rhapsody, a ceremonial concert that offered a unique experience of music, featuring musicians from 13 countries on one stage. The concert was organised by FSC in collaboration with Imago Sloveniae and under the auspices of Borut Pahor, President of the Republic of Sl0venia.
