Women Writers’ Route
Did you know?
Did you know that Croatian children’s book writer Ivana Brlić Mažuranić (1874 – 1938) was the first woman to become a member of the Yugoslav Academy of Sciences and Arts? She was praised for her writing style that was so unique it earned her the title “Croatian Andersen”. She was born in Ogulin (Croatia) and the house she lived in was turned into a one-of-a-kind multimedia centre for all who love fairy tales.
