100 Slavic Novels Exhibition in Bratislava
The opening ceremony of the 100 Slavic Novels exhibition in the centre of Bratislava was held under the auspices of Ľubica Laššáková, Minister of Culture of the Slovak Republic, Andreja Rihter, Director of the Forum of Slavic Cultures, and Silvia Stasselová, General Director of University Library in Bratislava.

Croatian museum educators met at their 10th conference, once again at the international level. The central topic this year was Boundaries and Visions, and Andreja Rihter, Director of the Forum of Slavic Cultures, gave a plenary lecture entitled Museums Bring Meaning to Our Lives.
SeeYu conference on WWII memorials
In October, 25 professionals from 12 countries presented the role, past and present, of history museums and memorials to WWII at the international SeeYu conference that took place in the Slovenian capital.

Centre of Slavic Cultures in Belgrade
On the day marking the 186th anniversary of the National Library of Serbia the Serbian Minister of Culture and Information Vladan Vukosavljević opened the Centre of Slavic Cultures Belgrade, the second of its kind run by the Forum of Slavic Cultures.
Register to the 12th International Summer School of Museology NOW!
The 12th international summer school of museology will take place in Piran, Koper and Trieste, between 27 May and 2 June 2018. This time will be divided in two moduls and the focus will be on WORDS. Words used in and for museums. Deadline for registration is 18 April 2018. The number of participants is limited.
The second Centre of Slavic Cultures opened in Belgrade
To intensify promotion of Slavic cultures and improve access to tangible and intangible cultural heritage the FSC decided to open Centres of Slavic Cultures in its member countries. The second centre was opened at the National Library in Belgrade by Vladan Vukosavljević, Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia.
Tracings out of Thin Air at the Hermitage
At the Youth Education Centre of the State Hermitage Museum, the Forum of Slavic Cultures presented Tracings out of Thin Air, a book that discusses the shaping of oppositional practices and collaborative communities in art and culture.
New Minister of Culture of Montenegro expresses support to FSC
Like his predecessors, Mr. Aleksandar Bogdanović, the new Montenegrin Minister of Culture, supports the activity of the Forum of Slavic Cultures and its projects that involve active participation of Montenegrin partners, both individual and institutional.
The Živa Award 2018 call is closed
On 15 of January 2018 the Živa Award 2018 call was closed. The FSC headquarters received the highest number of applications from Slavic countries so far.
The FSC Director met Minister of Culture of Belarus
Director of the Forum of Slavic Cultures, Andreja Rihter, PhD, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to the Russian Federation, H. E. Mr. Primož Šeligo, met new Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus in Minsk, Mr. Jury Bondar.
