The First Meeting of the Programme Council of the Women Writers' Route
The Programme Council of the new cultural route - the Women Writers' Route met at its first session. Programme Council members from five countries – Croatia, Poland, Russia, Slovenia and Serbia – met in Belgrade to discuss local communities and institutions that are to participate in this project as well as those interested in joining it.
Main Živa Awards 2019 to State Museum of Political History from Russia and to Belarussian Brest Hero Fortress
The International foundation Forum of Slavic Cultures (FSC) bestowed the awards for the best Slavic museums in Bar in Montenegro in co-operation with the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro and Cultural Center Bar. In addition to the main award, the winner was State Museum of Political History of Russia, the award for the best Slavic heritage site was bestowed for the second time. It went to the Brest Hero Fortress from Belarus.
Ms Rihter at the 25th ICOM General Conference
At the 25th ICOM General Conference, which took place in early September in Kyoto, Japan, Andreja Rihter presented the proceedings of ICOMAM conference War and Peace, Fear and Happiness: 100 years since the end of World War I. The conference took place a year ago in Ljubljana.

The FSC is inviting applications for the Živa 2020 – Award for the Best Slavic Museum and Heritage Site call for proposals.
Slavic Garden at the Book Fair(y) in Istria
For the first time ever, the FSC presents the Slavic Garden programme that will take place at the Book Fair(y) in Istria based on the collaboration agreement between the two institutions. This year, the focus will be on Russian literature and authors: Yevgeny Vodolazkin, Guzel Yakhina and Sergei Lebedev.
