Heritage in Motion 2024 Award Ceremony: A Night to Remember!

Yesterday, we celebrated an unforgettable Heritage in Motion 2024 Award Ceremony at the Regional Ethnographic Open-Air Museum ETAR in Gabrovo, Bulgaria, with a live broadcast on YouTube for all to join.

The event was presented by Andreja Rihter, Director of the Forum of Slavic Cultures, and Massimo Negri, Scientific Director of the European Museum Academy. Together, they guided us through an exciting evening, announcing the exceptional winners of this year’s awards:

  • Virtual and Augmented Reality Category: Codex 4D: journey in four dimensions into the manuscript
  • Heritage Audiovisuals Category: In Our Care. The Keeper’s Choice – Portugal
  • Heritage Schools Category: Evolution of Telephones – Slovenia
  • New Digital Experience Category & Winner of Heritage in Motion 2024: Deutschlandmuseum Berlin – Germany

After the announcements, we had the pleasure of hosting a live Zoom session with all the winners, where they shared their thoughts and experiences.

We also congratulated the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War, which received an Honourable Mention for its dedication and efforts in preserving cultural heritage during challenging times.

It was a night of creativity, innovation, and celebration of Europe’s rich cultural heritage! Thanks to everyone who joined us live, and congratulations again to all the winners!

We are also excited to announce that the next Heritage in Motion Award Ceremony will take place in 2025 at the Money Museum in Budapest, from 25 to 28 September. Mark your calendars!
