The second Centre of Slavic Cultures opened in Belgrade
The Forum of Slavic Cultures is a Ljubljana-based international foundation that connects people and institutions in thirteen Slavic countries through different projects. To intensify promotion of Slavic cultures and improve access to tangible and intangible cultural heritage the FSC decided to open Centres of Slavic Cultures in its member countries. The second centre was opened at the National Library in Belgrade by Vladan Vukosavljević, Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia.
The first Centre of Slavic Cultures opened in December 2016 in Moscow, at the Rudomino All-Russian State Library for Foreign Literature. Its first anniversary was marked with a special event in which representatives of embassies of Slavic countries in Moscow offered their support to the Centre, with Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and Vladimir Medinsky, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, also expressing their support in writing.
